I was slacking hard throughout this past holiday season. Although I was still training regularly, I just couldn't outwork my poor diet and it showed, bad. On top of that, my workouts had become stagnant. I was just going through the motions, doing 3 sets when I should be doing 4, doing 10 reps when I could be doing 12 to 15. I was (barely) maintaining my current level of strength, and I definitely wasn't making any gains. The structure of a well thought out and balanced program is exactly what I had been missing, and after I got back into the groove, I started gaining explosive power, strength, and athleticism that I hadn't had prior.Having an incentive really helped me buckle down on my diet and nutrition too, and in the process I started shedding fat at a rapid rate. I never missed one workout, even days where I had to wake up at 4:30 am, I got it in. I've logged into MyFitnessPal for the last 60 days straight and I haven't missed tracking one meal in that span. The result of my hard work? I'm down 22 pounds (from 199 to 177) at 8% body fat. I achieved a running vertical increase of 6 inches (from 35 to 41), and I even dunked a basketball off the dribble for the first time in my life, at the age of 29 years old. I've managed to do some things that I never thought I could, my only regret is that I wish I would've come across these training methods sooner. - Richie Vai
My before pictures were taken about a month after the end of my football season. Because of our busy schedule, I wasn't able to get some good in-season training, which left me in a somewhat disappointing shape. My Christmas holidays had just ended and I really didn't pay much attention to what I was eating during the holiday season. This really set me back. I saw the Athlete Built program and decided that I was going to follow it to the T. As soon as I saw what it entailed, I knew this was the right program for me. What I loved about it was that it offers a very good muscle and strength building aspect, while never letting go of the fundamental athletic side to your workouts. In the end, I couldn't be happier with how things turned out. Thanks Coach - William Harpin
